Carlos José Pérez Sámano   

Carlos is a poet, narrator and librettist born in Mexico.

He has 4 published books in Mexico and 2 in the U.S.A.

His work has been featured in several anthologies around the world. 

He has an MFA in Creative Writing and MA in Publishing by Rosemont College. 

In 2021 he received Everyday Genius award by I belong Philly and the Da Vinci Arts Alliance.

In 2021 he was named the First Artist in Residence at the Penn Museum.

In 2022 he received the Author of the Year award by Latin American Book Fair in Philadelphia.

After years of quest he found the body of the Mexican poet Gilberto Owen.
